Our Mission Statement
Through an academically rigorous,
performing arts-enhanced curriculum,
Liberty Leadership Academy enables students to develop enduring leadership skills for lifelong success.
Core Values
Liberty Leadership Academy is the brainchild of Director, Rachel Dubien, who founded Liberty Performing Arts in Cottonwood in 2013. In addition to her background and experience in teaching dance, Rachel is a seasoned elementary-school teacher who believes that enhancing an academically rigorous curriculum with performing arts will positively impact academic success and leadership skills.
What sets Liberty Leadership Academy apart from the other schools in the Verde Valley is that we are a performing arts-based charter school. This means that students learn through music and movement. Our students learn the same skills by acting out the lesson or dancing to songs about the topic. At LLA our teachers enhance and reinforce academic with performing arts. The students at Liberty Leadership Academy also attend performing arts-based classes every day. Students are offered classes in dance, TKD, music and sign language.
LLA students are able to showcase the skills they learn in our 4 quarterly community performances. This gives family and friends the opportunity to see what the students are learning, in action and support the performing arts. You can view our past performances here.
Each grade level will include age-appropriate performing-arts enhanced curriculum. From kindergarten through fifth grade, Liberty Leadership Academy will foster a love of learning and the joy of performing.
